I WILL NOT BE SILENT ANY MORE!

It's been a long time since I wrote something on this blog, but now it's time for me to speak up.  I am a Pro-Life Democrat who feels betrayed by my party's decision to sell out to the whims of the world.  They claim to help working families and have contributed to education reform and special education for kids with special needs like myself, but they won't defend the most fundamental right of them all-the right to life.

It's time I spoke up!  And I shouldn't be afraid to.  Every time I try to project my pro-life beliefs, I get shouted down by members of my own family.  Especially when they talk about "Catholic Social Justice," working on programs to feed the hungry and help the homeless, something that the Republicans won't do.  Yes, they claim to be pro-life, but they won't support programs for the poor.  Rather, they give tax breaks to the rich.

And what about our bishops and priests?  They won't speak up on these issues, preferring instead to be a "Church of Nice."  They just won't listen to what God tells them.  They say that if one doesn't speak up for evil and it happens, that person is responsible for his own damnation and that of those who are doing it.  But if one speaks up against that will, and that person he talks about does it, he will be spared punishment.

I am a person who believes in the dignity of life from conception to natural death.  But whenever I tell people that, they always ask me, "But don't you believe in a woman's right to choose?"  I don't!  Because Planned Parenthood is selling the organs of dead babies on a black market and is preaching eugenics among the African American population.  And the number of children due to rape or incest?  Give me a break, they're too small to measure.

And if a mother's life is in danger, medical technology is capable of saving both the mother and the child.  There are brave stories of women who refuse to accept medical treatment when they're pregnant because it may harm their unborn children.  They live in on those children should they not survive such an ordeal.  Besides, every life is welcome at life's table.

Euthanasia is evil, to begin with.  With mercy killing laws on the books in California and Oregon, people with terminal illness want to campaign for their right to die.  But we are not to put them out of their "misery;" we are here to help them reduce the pain and help them make their peace with God.  After all, from birth to death, all human life should be respected.  And that goes especially for the elderly and the disabled.

I don't give to any medical organizations like MDA or the American Cancer Society, because many of these fundraising organizations are using embryonic stem cells to perform research for people who are suffering from disease like cancer, ALS, Alzheimer's or lung disease.  I commend their noble work, but they don't need to use the lines of embryos to find cures.  After all, embryonic stem cells have proven ineffective in treating people with such diseases, while adult stem cells have been used to successfully treat seriously ill people.

And how could you even consider cloning someone in the name of research?  I remember when they came out with the test tube baby and a cloned sheep.  Everyone is unique in God's eye, and no one should have to play God when it comes to choosing life.  This is like opening a Pandora's Box of evil that can't be stopped.

And please, don't call me a bigot when I say this.  I don't hate gays, lesbians, bisexual people or those who are transgendered.  I'm just against same sex marriage, because it's a moral wrong that cannot be blessed by God.  Marriage was beautified by Christ in Cana of Galilee when he first his first miracle.   God ordained this sacrament so that men and women may join together and bring children into this world to make it a better place for their descendants.  It was ordained that both man and woman should be directed on a right and loving path by God.  And it was ordained that they should have each other in good times and bad.  We should rejoice in this traditional definition of marriage.  Men may have written the Bible, but they were inspired by God to so.

And every time I argue with family members, I'm always asked, "If two people of the same sex love each other, why don't you want them to get married?"  Well, it's NOT that I DON'T want gays and lesbians to get married; it's just that I'm worried they will use it to act perversely in their daily lives.  Of course, I believe in loving gays and lesbians just like anybody else, but we don't have to support  a same sex marriage.

And of course, let's not get into "civil unions," since they are legal and not religious.

And finally, what about capital punishment?  Seeking the death penalty for people who commit a murder is a terrible and brutal thing to impose upon a person.  What if the wrong man is executed?  While pedophiles who murder children is an exception to the rule, I believe that capital punishment won't solve the rampant crime rate is this country.  And no, the government has NO right or reason to deny citizens the right to bare arms.

This Lenten season, I will not be silent.  I will speak up and speak out, because I believe in the dignity and sanctity of life.  As an autistic person, I believe it's time to speak up for life.

And let's get one thing perfectly clear: "Catholic Social Justice" begins in the womb of a mother.  And life begins the minute you're conceived, not the minute you're born.  And if you think that a woman "should have a right to choice," that's a bunch of baloney!  Because we need to defend life in all its stages with no exceptions or compromises.  After all, as St. John Paul once said, "When God gives life, it's forever."

I welcome your response.
