MARY SAID YES!

On this December 8th., we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, when Mary was told that she was chosen to bear Jesus, God's Son. "Be it done to me as you say," she said to the Angel Gabriel. Yes, Mary said yes to new life. Too often, however, many women are saying no to God's gift. And that really breaks Mary's heart to see unborn children being aborted.

I'm sure Mary would be angry and said to see children's lives being terminated before they can begin. When Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood, it was a slap in the face of God's plan for his planet. Mary would have told her, "You're some kind of sinner!" And Margaret Sanger would be ashamed of it.

You know, if Beethoven's mother had decided to abort him, we wouldn't have his Fifth Symphony, his opera "Fidelo" or his "Missa Solemnis." And we wouldn't have his choral 9th.! What if he couldn't hear himself conducting it? The imporant thing is...he's a magnificent rebel who brought the world the greatest music known today.

And of course his music has been turned into great pop hits. Remember "A Fifth of Beethoven" or "Song of Joy?"

When politicians switch their views from pro-life to pro-choice, it's their way of saying "No" to God's plan for their lives and careers. Sure they want political expediency and popularity, but it will cost them in the end. Mary, I believe, would feel saddened when any political leader compromised his or her beliefs for popularity.

And Mary would be saddened when she saw abused or abandoned children dying or being injured by their parents who didn't want them. Every child's life is precious and should be valued for what they are-human beings.

On this say when Mary said "Yes" to the Son of God, let us resolve to say "Yes" to the gift of human life and "No" to the culture of death!

PANDORA'S BOX!

The election of Barack Obama this past Tuesday is like opening Pandora's Box. I'm worried that he'll take away all the hard work we've made over the past 35 years to stop the pain of abortion. I'm glad I didn't vote for that guy. I didn't vote on the issue of race; I voted because Obama's pro-choice-correction, pro-death. His desire to pass the "Freedom Of Choice Act" will open a Pandora's Box of death.

That means many unborn children may never get their chance to live, let alone vote in future elections. I'm afraid that the Democrats have become a pro-death party. Yeah, they helped working families, especially disabled children. When I was growing up, children with disabllities didn't have many educational opportunities.

They helped pass the 766 laws that guaranteed special needs children quality education. They helped working families pay for medications that they otherwise couldn't afford. They helped the unions fight for workers' rights.

Then came January 22nd., 1973. You know, when Roe vs. Wade was ruled on.

Many Democrats(and a few Republicans) decided to shake off their pro-life beliefs for the sake of poltiical expediency. Just because they bought the dictum that personal belief was a liability to their being elected, they made a deal with the devil! And thus, Pandora's box was opened over and over again.

I don't believe in the lies that they're saying about being "pro-choice." And what about the woman who says that "A Woman should have a right to choice?" She is misguided. After all, nobody has a right to choose to do what's evil. And that is what "right to choice" is, as far as human life is concerned. Our society kills its unborn, moves towards euthanasia, allows "same-sex" marriage, and declares war on Christmas, calling it "politically incorrect."

It will be hard to sweep up what has been opened, but we've got to give it a shot over the next 4 years. And we have to stand up for traditional family values. I'm not advocating bringing back "Puritanical" laws, but we have to stand up for the marginalized in our society. Because being "pro-choice" (i.e. "Pro-death") cancels such people from changing our world for the better.

Remember, pro-choice equals pro-death. Choosing to be pro-life means you're willing to save something for the future. Let's do that!

It's Christmas time once more, and there are great places to hear Christmas music on the web. Check out this web site for more information:

I'M PERSONALLY OPPOSED TO ABORTION...

...AND I'M GONNA SHARE MY OPINIONS WITH OTHERS!

There's certainly no question about that. When Geraldine Ferraro told the American public, "I'm personally opposed to abortion, but I'm not going to enforce my opinion on others," I knew that we were in trouble. I confess that I voted for Democratic candidates(many of whom were, and still are, pro-choice) because my parents told me that "The Democrats are the only ones helping working families..."

Yeah, right!

How can the Democrats stand up for health care, education, jobs, housing, and everything else, if they won't defend the most important right of them all-the right to life? That's right. I'm using this blog to voice and vent my opinions on pro-choice politicians. I cannot morally, and in good conscience, support Barack Obama, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, or anyone who sell out their personal beliefs for the sake of political expediency.

When I wanted to vote for a pro-life independent candidate back in 2002, my Mother told me that I would be throwing away my vote and electing a Republican. What a farce! I wanted to do what I wanted, but in the end, I gave in to her counsel.

Well, now we are facing our worst election in years. Barack Obama vs. John McCain. While John McCain supports an end to abortion, he wants to expand embryonic stem cell research. And Barack Obama? He wants to destroy all protection for the unborn. I'm not voting on race or condition; I'm voting on the platform of life.

When I worked with my company earlier in my career and I tried to tell my pro-life side, one of the secretaries said, "But don't you believe in a woman's right to choose?" And she gives me all this about the rape, incest...etc. But only 1-3% of all unplanned pregnancies are from those two causes.

And what about if the mother's life is in danger? Medical technology is so advanced today that it's possible to save both the mother and the child.

i"d always settle for "agreeing to disagree," but not anymore. With two evils staring at me in the face, I'm not going to fall for it. If we had a major candidate who would defend the right to life, maybe we could save this country from chaos. The unborn child's life, the elderly person's life, the disabled person's life-all of these need to be defended.

And another person who worked there one time told me that she was pro-choice after I told her I was pro-life. Well, she added, "3 things we don't talk about here are politics, religion, and abortion." Well, I have to talk about them. After all, some of the clients in the place I work for are either abortion providers or abortion advocates.

As a handicapped person myself, I believe that all human life from conception to natural death is sacred and must be protected at all costs. Any politician who will not do that has cancelled himself out of my vote.

You know, I said some time ago that we were all born with the freedom to choose, but no one has the right to choose to do what is evil. The 19th. century suffragettes were opposed to abortion, saying that it would ruin the fabric of our society.

Then came Margaret Sanger and her Planned Parenthood racket, which is the largest provider of abortion services in the world. Is that family planning? It's genocide! Abortion is a genocide that must be stopped. And I believe that my pro-life blog is a start to doing that. Our country stands on the precipice of darkness, and only by educating ourselves on the dangers of abortion can we pull back from it.

You know, every October, you see those "breast cancer" fundraisers for organizations like Susan B. Komen, but what they don't tell you is that Komen is a major contributor to Planned Parenthood. And you hear those medical studies saying that "abortion can cause breast cancer?" They are perfectly true, despite what Komen says.

And you know Lee National Denim Day, which benefits the Women's Cancer Initiatives of the Entertainment Industry Foundation? They're funding programs that use embryonic stem cells. That's why I won't pay $5 to wear jeans that day.

And can you believe this? Yesterday in the mail, I got a letter from the National Organization for Women urging people to "Keep Abortion Legal," by contributing to their election fund. I had it returned to the sender, because they're part of the pro-death front. I already told you that the advocates for women's rights in the 19th. Century opposed abortion.

Of course, I believe in equal rights for women and minorities, but I also believe in equal rights for the unborn, the elderly, the disabled, and for other marginalized peoples in our society. I know that myself; when I was growing up, I suffered mental and emotional damage from a hernia operation. After many tests, the speicalists told my parents that I would amount to nothing and that i should be put in an institution.

They wouldn't buy that, and they fought for the funding and the rights for kids like myself to get the highest quality education possible. Thus, we are proud citizens and contributors to the society we live in today. Unfortunately, if they're going to continue that advocacy, they need to start standing up for one's right to live. And of course, we do have alternatives to abortion; we just need to utlilize them.

As we go to the polls this coming Tuesday, let us reflect on our choices when we go to the polls. Let's educate ourselves on the politicians' platforms, especially on how they deal with abortion and euthanasia. And if that candidate you're voting for is "pro-choice," you must reject him or her. We have to be careful with who we select, because what they stand for may not be what we want.

Yes, I'm personally opposed to abortion and, unlike Geraldine Ferraro, I'm going to share my beliefs with others. If you agree with me, that's good. If you don't, that's fine. Just don't make me cow down to your beliefs. After all, I don't want to be denied by God for denying his message; I want to be professed in heaven for professing his message.

BEFORE YOU VOTE...

Before you vote in the general election on November 4th., I want you to think about one thing.

You hear family and friends tell you that you can't be a "one-issue" voter. They tell you to look at their record on education, jobs, housing, etc. They say that if you vote for anyone other than a Democrat or Republican, you're "throwing away your vote!" I say bunk!

Neither John McCain or Barack Obama are my cup of tea. There are allegations that Obama's used a fake organization named Acorn to register voters in a fraudulent manner. There are also accusations that his "tax cut" program will benefit the wealthy, making us pay the price.

And then McCain's accused of following "Bush's economic program," which has resulted in the financial mess that Wall Street has passed onto Main Street.

But how do they stand on the issue of human life?

Barack Obama's not only "pro-choice," but he also advocates repealing many laws protecting the unborn. And he also wants to pass the "Freedom of Choice" act, allowing on demand abortion with no exceptions. While John McCain is opposed to abortion, he also wishes to expand embryonic stem cell research. This is the practice of extracting stem cells from embryos for treatments for diseases ranging from cancer to diabetes.

I give the two of them a failing grade in this aspect. It's not enough to claim that you're pro-life if you won't stand up for it. Mom always told me that "The Democrats are the only people who are helping working families." But how can you help working families if you won't defend the most important right of all-the right to life?

You know, someone acknolwedged one time that we all have the freedom to choose, but no one has the right to choose to do evil. And that's why I say that the right to life is the most defining issue. Without it, you can't take care of the other issues, such as housing, education, jobs, healthcare, and what have you.

So before you go voting in the polls this November 4th., remember that the choice you make in the ballot box will have ramifications that you and your family may have to deal with for the rest of your life-and beyond.

Remember, pro-choice equals pro-death!

OH, and one more thing! You know, October is National Breast Cancer Month. That's why you see Denim Day and the Race for the Cure. Most of these are supporting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. And while you may not be aware of this, the Komen Foundation is in league with Planned Parenthood! That's right, the world's largest abortion provider in the world. Thousands of dollars are raised for the Komen foundation, but most go towards grants to Planned Parenthood.

And of course, while Lee National Denim Day supports the Women's Cancer Iniatives of the entertainment industry, the funding for it goes to doctors using embryonic stem cell research. Which is anti-life.

And of course, little can you believe this, but having an abortion increases a woman's chances for breast cancer later in life. That's a shocker that Komen and the Women's Cancer Initiatives won't acknowledge. So if you're trying to support a breast cancer organization, ask yourself if they're really what they do, or if they're a front for the culture of death.

A HUMAN LIFE AMENDMENT!

"We say vote yes! Please stop the slaughter of abortion by voting yes for a Human Life Amendment!"
"No new amendment! Let the Supreme Court Decision Stand! A woman should have the right to choice!"
That was the message of a telephone poll calling for a vote on the human life amendment. I admit turning the channel when the lady asking us to vote yes told us to do so, while I listened to the no vote through and through. Well, I say we need a Human Life Amendment. As a Democrat, and a Catholic, I believe that all human life is sacred. (Bill Baird, Barack Obama and all you pro-death Democrats, take heed!)
"Before you were born, I knew you." The moment we were conceived in the womb, our life began. It continues at birth, and continues through all subsequent stages through natural death. No one has the right to destroy not-not while it's in the womb, not while it's walking the street, not while it's in the hospital.
"But don't you believe in the woman's right to choose?" No, I don't. And when you tell me about the cases of rape or incest, that is only a small precentage. And what about when the mother's life is in danger? The advances in medical technology today make it possible for both the mother and her child to be saved without terminating one's life. (Or the other!)
I was very squeamish when I voted for pro-choice Democrats, because my parents told me, "The Democrats are the only people helping working families!" Well, how can they help working families if they don't protect the most fundamental right of all-the right to lfie? After all, the right to life is THE most important issue of them all. Without that, you can't fight for education, new jobs, workers' rights, health care, etc. I can't agree to disagree anymore; I'm pro-life and I feel that the Democrats have abandoned this most fundamental right!
And I hate it when a candidate says, "I'm personally opposed to abortion, but I'm not enforcing my beliefs on others." Jesus told us to defend all life when he was on Earth. And he's still doing it today. In fact, he once said, "Whoever denies me on Earth will be denied by me in Heaven." I have a right to speak out on life. If anyone agrees with me, fine. If not, that's fine, too. Just don't make compromise my beliefs for the sake of political expediency.
I am asking all members of Congress to consider the passage of a Human Life Amendment, which will stop the slaughter of the unborn. Because abortion is a modern day holocaust. Even worse, in fact, than the Nazis slaughtering the Jews or the Turks slaughtering the Armenians(and living in denial even today).
And to the lady who says that "life begins at birth, not before..."
Well, life doesn't begin at birth. It starts the moment you're conceived in the womb. And you have no right to take that life away. Because when we destroy human life by terminating a pregnancy(or shooting someone on the street), we destroy a part of the future.
The only way that this country will turn around is if we stop abortion by passing a human life amendment. After all, there are millions of couples who can't have children of their own and would give anything to adapt a chid. You know, there are alternatives to abortion, and we've got to look for them.
"Preserve choice?" It's not a choice; it's a license to kill. I say, "Respect life and protect it!" Let's persuade all of our political leaders to consider the Human Life Amendment.
"When God Gives Life, It's Forever!"
Pope John Paul II
Thank you for your time, friends. And remember, pro-choice equals pro-death!

THE FIRST POST!

As a Democrat, I have always believed that the Democratic party has been a party for the working family. And as a Catholic, I have always believed in the Church's stand that abortion is morally evil. Unfortunately, when Roe V. Wade was passed in 1973, many Catholics started voting pro-life. However, many Catholic politicians who are Democrats have rejected the sanctity of human life for the sake of political expediency. And I have found it a moral dilemma when I vote at the polls each election tide.
Well, as a Catholic, a Democrat, and a pro-life person, I believe that the Democrats have abandoned the most important fundamental right of them all in return for getting votes. And I can't stand silent anymore! That's why I've put together this blog. It's my hope that there are people like me-both Democrat and Republican-who are disenfranchized by the fact that our politicians refuse to take a stand against abortion and other life issues, preferring instead to concentrate on "issues" such as housing, medicare, education, the war in Iraq, and the like.
Lest I be accused of being a one-issue voter, I will say this: the right to life is THE most important issue of them all. Without it, you don't have education, housing, women's rights, etc. I believe that human life is sacred and should be protected 100%. No exceptions, no compromises, no apologies. When these pro-choicers say, "A woman should have the right to choose," they are actually saying, "they have a license to kill."
We may all be born with the right to choose(that is one of the foundations of our country), but no one has the right to choose to do what is evil. And abortion is evil; it takes the life of the unborn child and destroys it. Think about how much the world would be better if those millions of aborted children would have been born. They could have made the world a better place, but they're gone now. These children could have grown up to cure illness, build new buidlings, or create new forms of art and music.
And if they tell you, "Life begins at birth, not before," they're wrong. The moment a child is conceived in the womb, it is the beginning of life. As scripture says, "Before you were conceived, I knew you." And that's why I wanted to speak up for the unborn. And not only for those who are yet to be born, but also for those who are in the final stages of life, those who are handicapped, and those who live on the margins of society.
And if you hear any politician who says he or she is pro-choice, they are actually pro-death. They're helping to build the culture of death which is destroying our government and our freedoms. For all of these reasons, I've decided to start this blog dedicated to promoting "the Gospel of Life," including an end to abortion and preserving and protecting the rights of the unborn, as well as the elderly and the disabled.
I invite you to read this blog and let me know how you feel about it. And let's do all we can to promote "The Culture Of Life." Remember, pro-choice equals pro-death. I hope our politicians are taking heed, especially those who are Catholics like myself.
Thank you for your time.
